Location
Picket Pods is situated amongst 100 acres of pastureland farmed by Mike and Alison Gibbon.
The safe and enclosed field is in a sunny, sheltered place surrounded by trees on a part of the farm where they have always enjoyed spending time and hope you will too!
The farm is set in the heart of rural Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, yet only 17 miles west of the capital city of Cardiff with all its amenities.
Locally you can enjoy the nearby Glamorgan Heritage Coast, rugged beaches or sandy bays including Llantwit Major or Southerndown, long walks through fantastic scenery or horse riding through the sand dunes at Ogmore-on-Sea. You can then end your day enjoying a BBQ round your campfire or dining out in one of the many fabulous country pubs found nearby, including two pubs in Wick that are less than a mile walk away over the fields using local footpaths.
Also located close by is the pretty market town of Cowbridge, with many great independent shops. For those wanting activities, there are many attractions, which include arts and crafts, paintballing, fishing or horse riding. The beach at Barry Island is only a short distance along the coast which is home to the hit TV series Gavin and Stacey and has a Pleasure Park that offers family thrills.
